Nice foods

I met Yoich and his friends at Liverpool street station last week. We walked to Old street to eat something, and we arrived at one Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant that is Sum's recommendation. Sum works in Japanese embassy.

先週日本とロンドンで活動しているDJ ShibaことYoichiさんとそのお友達を紹介してもらうべくリバプールストリート駅で落ち合い、そのまま食事へ。食事はサムという日本大使館で働いている男のお薦めのベトナム料理屋へ。歩いて１０分位とか言っていたけど、２０分以上歩いた気がする。まあココはロンドンだし。。。＾＾；







Before entering the restaurant, we bought many beers at an off license store near the restaurant. We were able to bring alcohols in the restaurant and drink them. It was my first experience, that's very nice! Oh, behind beer guy is Sum.

レストランに入る前にビールを酒屋で購入。そう、こちらではお酒持ち込みOKなレストランが結構有るのです。素晴らしい！　噂には聞いていましたが、本日初体験。ちゃんとお店の人がグラスも出してくれました。ｗ　あ、ビールの後ろの人がサムです。





We ate so many delicious foods. But I couldn't eat one food that is coriander, I hate this smell very much. I usually pick it up to out of dish. So Asian food is very dangerous for me... Though, this time there was not so many dishes with coriander, and I was able to eat and enjoy many dishes.

色々と食べたのですが、どれもなかなか美味しい。ソーセージの揚げたようなものが結構人気で、サムはこれもっと食べて良い？と２皿。他には店のお薦めで春巻きを蒸したモノや魚と海老をそれぞれ揚げたモノ。更にライスヌードルは香りの良い葉っぱを自分で入れていただきます。これがなかなか美味しい。下手物好きなサムは鳥の足を料理したモノに興味を示し、試してみることに。これが沖縄の豚足などと同じようなコラーゲンたっぷりな感じで、甘酸っぱく仕上げてあります。なかなかいける。
全体的に美味しかったのだけど、僕にとってベトナム系の料理は危険地帯。なぜなら香草が入っているからなんですね。知っている人も多いですが、本当にコリアンダーの臭いが苦手で、僕の唯一嫌いなモノ。＾＾；

This restaurant was very reasonable! And taste was not bad without coriander.

ビールを持ち込みしたのもあるけど、かなり安く上がりました。値段は良心的。味も結構悪くないしね。コリアンダーの存在が無ければなお良し。(笑)
